Beach on the Bay

Verse 1
Well that storm passed yesterday, it looks like a beautiful day
Standing on the shore of the Chesapeake Bay
And I’ve been waitin’ and anticipatin’ on you, and this day is finally here
There’s gonna be a party today

Chorus
Better come on down to the beach on the bay, everybody’s headed’ this way
Come on down, yeah, everybody’s coming on out
You better come on down

Verse 2
They came wrapped up all winter long, girls really love that sun
A lot of beauty dancing on the beach
Now the girls outnumber the boys, but boy they’re makin’ their noise
This is a party you need to see

Chorus
Better come on down to the beach on the bay, everybody’s headed this way
Come on down, yeah, everybody’s coming on out
You better come on down to the beach on the bay everybody’s headed this way
Come on down,

Verse 3
Now the power boats and sail boats, keep loading by
And there’s beaches on both sides
If you wanna switch sides, just reach out and grab a line
But hold on tight, this might be a wild ride

Chorus
Better come on down to the beach on the bay, everybody’s headed this way
Come on down, nah nah nah nah nah
Better come on down to the beach on the bay, everybody’s headed this way
Come on down yeah, nah nah nah nah nah

Verse 4
Pirates sailed these shores, a long time ago
They might have stood right where I’m standing, yeah
And old Captain Steve’s drinking black draft rum, hold out your glass, he’ll probably pour you some
If you’re not already here then, what are you thinking?

Chorus
Better come on down to the beach on the bay, everybody’s headed this way
Come on down, nah nah nah nah nah
Better come on down to the beach on the bay, everybody’s headed this way
Come on down, yeah, everybody’s coming on out
You better come on down
